Wave for the camera!!!
The whole family. What a blessing!!
It's tradition!!!! Tradition!!!

March 11 to the 23 we had two of those weeks you anticipate for months, drink in every moment of, and then firmly implant in your brain so you can revisit each memory repeatedly. Greg, his girlfriend Molly, and three of their friends joined us for their spring break the 11th to the 18th. They are great young adults who we enjoyed hosting. Late on the 16th Ben and Kate arrived with Nate, Eli and Ava. On the 17th Adam flew in from Dallas, and Lisa made the family complete as she drove down from WI. Saturday evening after a big turkey dinner we celebrated Adam's birthday, a little late, Lee's birthday, a little early, and did our own family observance for Timm's 25 years in ministry. Lisa put together an awesome scrap book of blessings from people special to Timm's ministry (25 blessings for 25 years). More than one person told me they could see the glow in our faces that comes with such joy as we experienced that weekend having the whole family together under our roof.
On Sunday our awesome church family helped us celebrate Timm's 25 years as an under shepherd. Timm knew about the celebration but we tried to surprise him with a few details like Ben preaching, (his sermon was fantastic ), Adam and Lisa doing the scripture readings, and Greg playing a trumpet piece during the offering. We feel so blessed!!!! Additional surprises were the presence of a former member and close friend formerly from Collierville who now lives in Brookfield, WI, Dawn Edwards; the arrival at church of Timm's brother Jay and his wife Kathy from Atlanta, GA; as well as great friends, Sue and Glenn Meyer from Mequon, WI; and Lorraine and Al Schulz former parishioners from Pilgrim in West Bend, WI ( it took us a minute to place the Schulzs as it had been at least 11 years since we had seen them). We felt very honored that they all made the trip.
During the dinner reception in the gymnasium that was beautifully and elegantly decorated we were treated to a slide show of ministry and family memories over the past 25 years. Several people from our congregation took a few moments at the microphone to speak to how God has used Timm in a positive way in their lives. We were also blessed by all the cards received from family, friends, and former parishioners in Illinois, Nebraska, and WI.
Adam headed back to TX on Monday after a morning fishing expedition with Timm, Ben, Nate and Eli. No fish were caught or injured in this expedition but the weather was beautiful and they had some good guy time.
Tuesday we went to the Memphis zoo with Ben's family, and Lisa . More exceptional moments.
Wednesday Ben and Kate went to a conference in Seattle and we and Lisa had two days of fun times with Nate, Eli and Ava. Definitely a taste of Heaven!
We love them all so much and are slowly adjusting to how quiet our house is again. Above are a few photo ops from this incredible time. Thank you children for making it sooooo special!!
